Travel bucket list-African Safari
As an international flight attendant and a prolific traveler, I have traveled all over the world. I have touched five of the seven continents. Antarctica and Africa are the only continents I have not visited. Since Covid, I have felt even more self-pressure to finish my travel bucket list. I’ve decided to finally go on an African Safari and take it off my must-do list.
As an African American and a prolific traveler, it seems strange that Africa is one of my last continents to visit. There are so many options for visiting Africa. I’ve thought about visiting South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and Nigeria. In the end, I decided to make a trip to Tanzania to see the great migration.
The realities of Covid have caused me to postpone my trip several times. I decided that in 2021 I would no longer wait to go on my journey. The great migration season is anywhere from July to November. During this time, large herds of wildebeest move through the Serengeti. I have wanted to witness this for many years. The wildebeest is said to attract many species. I would like to see as many African species as possible including the famous river crossing.
My trip includes a sky safari that consists of all Northern Tanzania’s game and scenic highlights. I will conclude my journey with a Beach safari in Zanzibar. I booked my trip through Anantara as I have been a member for several years. Anantara’s mission is to make your travels unforgettable with unique off the beaten path adventures.
My safari is all-inclusive. It includes full board accommodations, all drinks, transfers, domestic flights, and game drives. I will stay in Arusha, Tarangire national park, Karatu, Northern Serengeti, and Kendwa. I am excited to be on this trip. If an African Safari is on your bucket list?
